Who We Are

Yurts for You is a family business born from a genuine love for yurts and the lifestyle they make possible. Our journey began when we were searching for a way of living that felt simple, sustainable, and deeply connected to the land. When we discovered yurts, we were immediately struck by their beauty, practicality, and timeless design.

What started as an experiment—building our own frames and learning the craft—quickly grew into something bigger. We realised there was a real need in New Zealand for high-quality, locally made yurts that could serve many different purposes: homes, creative spaces, guest accommodation, or simply a place to retreat into nature.

In 2023 we began our partnership with Tasman Canvas, combining their long experience in canvas fabrication with our passion for strong and versatile wooden frames. Together, we are able to offer fully NZ-made yurts built for Aotearoa’s unique conditions.

For us, yurts are more than a structure. They’re about creating a space that feels alive and welcoming, a space where people can gather, rest, and reconnect. We see each yurt as part of a larger story—a story of people choosing to live with more intention, closer to the rhythms of nature.
